About The SAIS Observer

The SAIS Observer is a news monthly written, edited, and produced by the students of the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of The Johns Hopkins University.
The SAIS Observer is an approved SAIS student organization.  Opinions expressed in the SAIS Observer are not necessarily the views of the editors, SAIS, or the University.

The SAIS Observer is a newspaper written, edited, and produced by the students of The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of The Johns Hopkins University. Founded in 2002, it is the official student newspaper of the global SAIS community.

SAIS students, faculty and members of the administration at the Washington, D.C. campus, Bologna campus, and the Hopkins-Nanjing Center are encouraged to submit articles, letters to the Editor, Op-Eds, photographs, book reviews, interviews, cartoons and other items for consideration.

Materials for consideration or inquiries to the Editors may be submitted to sais.observer@gmail.com.

The traditional duration for each editorial board is from January to December. Applications for the Editorial Board are welcome during the Fall semester for the positions open in the coming January. To apply, please submit a CV and 1-2 writing samples to sais.observer@gmail.com.
